A lot has changed since I picked up my pencil and started drawing again just a few short months ago. What started a single drawing that was inspired by my mother, has begun growing into something much larger.
So many people have embraced my art and, thanks to the power of social media, the audience is global. I’ve received hundreds of comments from people all over the world, but the majority of those comments have been restricted to Instagram and Twitter – just two outlets.
However, my audience just got much larger.
Today I’m featured on the front page of NBC’s The Today Show’s website, one of the largest media outlets in the world.
Last week I sat down with the incredibly talented writer Victoria Oldridge for the interview. She has previously interviewed some pretty amazing people including astronaut Buzz Aldrin, fashion designer Diane von Furstenburg, TV host Meredith Vieira, and so many more.
We discussed my mom, my art, my goals to raise money for charity, and much more. She really wrote an exceptional piece.
A big thank you to everyone who has supported me up to this point. All of your likes, shares and posts of my art on FB has helped get me to this point. I’ve got a few really big things in the works already and I can’t wait to share them with you soon.
If you’d like to read the full article I’ve add the link to my bio. Big thanks to Kam Chancellor. I was finally getting my passion for art back, and he added gas to my fire. I feel like a new person. A better person.
