I used to hate running. A lot. Then a friend talked me into training for a marathon, which made me hate running even more. Well, at least in the beginning.
However, as each training run went by, running got a little easier and a bit more enjoyable.
Since then I’ve run 13 full marathons including Walt Disney World’s “Goofy’s Challenge” which consists of running a half marathon on Saturday and a full marathon on Sunday.
But it all started with… starting. So often we have a goal that seems “too big” or “too hard” so we don’t even start or we tell ourselves that we’ll start “someday.”
Training for a marathon begins with a single step – both figuratively and literally. Eventually, those steps add up to 26.2 miles.
But the key is getting started. So, you have a goal that you’ve been planning to complete “someday”… get started today and make it happen.
