The idea was simple.
Let the fans decide.
Who are the greatest players in Sounders history?
Position by position, fans cast their votes to build the ultimate lineup. The all-time Starting XI.
The response was massive.
Supporters from across the city and beyond came together to make their voices heard.
When the voting was complete, the team was set.
Stefan Frei. DeAndre Yedlin. Chad Marshall. Zach Scott. Brad Evans. Ozzie Alonso. Cristian Roldan. Nicolás Lodeiro. Clint Dempsey. Obafemi Martins. Fredy Montero.

Chapter III | Bringing the Legends Together
Once the Starting XI was selected, the focus shifted to the artwork.
How do you bring eleven legends, spanning different eras and moments, into a single composition?
The goal was not just to draw players.
It was to unify them.
To create a piece that felt like a team, even though these players did not all share the field at the same time.
Working in graphite, the drawing was carefully constructed to balance each figure, giving every player their presence while maintaining a cohesive flow across the piece.
Individually, each player represents a moment in Sounders history.
Together, they represent something much bigger.
The identity of a club.

Chapter IV | A Stadium Moment
When the artwork was complete, the project came to life on match day.
Nearly 20,000 prints were distributed to fans inside the stadium.
A sea of supporters, each holding a piece of the same image.
The scale of it was incredible.
Before the match, I held a signing event that brought out a massive crowd. Fans lined up to be part of the moment, to connect with the artwork and the story behind it.
Then, during the match, another moment unfolded.
Sounders owner Adrian Hanauer presented one of the prints to a Ozzie Alonzo on the field.
A gesture that connected the artwork back to the very people who made the club what it is.
What started as a fan vote had now become something tangible, shared across an entire stadium.

Sounders Best XI
Price range: $75 through $18,000
The drawing was a collaboration between Keegan and the Seattle Sounders organization, and is a stunning representation of the best 11 players in Seattle Sounders history, as voted by the fans. Each player is depicted in intricate detail, overlapping one another to create a dynamic composition.
Keegan’s use of shading and texture is impressive, bringing each player to life on the page. The players’ expressions are also captured in great detail including intense concentration and confident poses. The background of the drawing is completely white, allowing the viewer to focus solely on the players and make them the focal point of the piece.
Overall, the drawing is a testament to the skill of both the artist and the players depicted, making it a must-see for any Seattle Sounders fan.
