Markelle Fultz

Chapter I | The Rise of Markelle Fultz
Some players arrive with expectations.

Markelle Fultz exceeded them.

During his time at the University of Washington, he wasn’t just productive. He was electric. A complete guard with the ability to score at all three levels, control the pace of the game, and take over when it mattered most.

Every possession felt like it could turn into something special.

That level of play didn’t go unnoticed.

Markelle became the number one overall pick in the NBA Draft, a reflection of the talent, work, and confidence he brought to the court every night.

But beyond the accolades, what defined him was his intensity.

The emotion. The fire. The moments where everything came pouring out.

And that is where this project began.

The artwork

Chapter II | Capturing the Emotion
The focus of the drawing was not a stat line or a highlight.

It was a feeling.

Markelle in the middle of a moment, yelling with intensity, releasing everything after a big play.

The kind of moment you don’t plan.

You just react.

Working in graphite, the goal was to capture that raw energy. The expression, the tension, the way emotion takes over in real time.

The background was intentionally softened, blurred just enough to remove distraction.

Everything centers on him.

The emotion becomes the subject.
Chapter III | The Collection
Once the artwork was complete, the next step was to bring it into a collectible format.

A limited edition of 200 prints.

Each one signed and numbered by Markelle Fultz and me.

The scale was intentional.

Exclusive, but still accessible to fans who had followed his rise from Seattle to the top of the NBA Draft.

Every print carries the same moment.

That raw expression. That release of emotion.

A snapshot of a player at the height of his college career, captured and preserved in a format that allows it to live beyond the game itself.
Chapter IV | A Moment Preserved
What makes a project like this work is timing.

This wasn’t just any point in Markelle’s career.

It was a moment when everything was building. His name at the top of the draft. His presence known across the country. His game reaching its peak at the college level.

The artwork captures that version of him.

Focused. Intense. Unstoppable.

A snapshot of a player right before stepping onto the biggest stage in basketball.

Chapter V | The Energy of the Moment
Markelle Fultz has always played with emotion.

The kind that shows up in big moments. The kind that lifts a team. The kind that fans remember.

This project was built around that energy.

Not just who he is as a player, but how he plays.

A single moment, captured in graphite, that reflects everything that made him special at the University of Washington.

Because sometimes, the most powerful images are not the ones that show the play.

They show what it meant.
