Jalen Milroe

Chapter I | The Energy of Jalen Milroe
Some quarterbacks manage the game.

Jalen Milroe changes it.

Every time he steps on the field, there is a sense that something explosive could happen at any moment. Speed, strength, and the ability to turn a broken play into something unforgettable.

But what truly defines Jalen goes beyond the highlights.

It is his mindset.

Confident. Positive. Always pushing forward.

At Alabama, where expectations are as high as anywhere in sports, Jalen embraced the pressure and turned it into fuel.

A player who didn’t just perform.

He energized everything around him.

Chapter II | Building the Image
This project started with a different kind of challenge.

How do you capture a player whose game is built on movement, momentum, and constant pressure on a defense?

The answer was not a single moment.

It was a combination.

The composition brought together multiple versions of Jalen into one piece. At the center, a powerful flex after a big play. Around it, the full range of what makes him dangerous. Passing. Running. A focused, side profile that captures his presence in the moment.

Working in graphite, each element had to feel connected while still standing on its own.

Not just a portrait.

A complete picture of how he plays the game.
Chapter III | Tuscaloosa
Once the drawing was complete, I flew out to Tuscaloosa.

For my first project with Alabama football, it was an experience that lived up to everything you hear about.

The atmosphere. The energy. The tradition.

Being on the field, surrounded by one of the most iconic programs in sports, gave the project a different kind of weight.

Then came the time with Jalen.

We sat down together with stacks of prints and started signing.

From the start, it was easy.

He’s exactly how you’d hope.

Upbeat. Positive. Engaged.

We talked, laughed, shared stories. The kind of conversation that makes the entire experience feel real, not staged.

Moments like that are what stay with you.

Chapter IV | The Purpose
The edition was limited to 200 prints.

Each one signed and numbered by Jalen Milroe and myself.

Every single dollar raised was directed toward two incredible organizations.

Wounded Warrior Project.

Children’s of Alabama.

What made this project stand out wasn’t just the artwork or the experience.

It was the purpose behind it.

A collaboration that turned energy on the field into impact off of it.

Chapter V | More Than the Moment
Jalen Milroe represents something that goes beyond talent.

He represents belief.

The kind that shows up in how he plays, how he carries himself, and how he connects with people around him.

This project captured that energy in a single piece.

But more importantly, it turned that energy into something meaningful.

A shared experience. A meaningful cause. A moment that extended beyond the game itself.

Some projects are about the image.

This one was about what the image could do.
