Drawing time-lapse: Felix Hernandez

I filmed the first ever time-lapse of my drawing process.  I didn’t really know what I was doing or how it would turn out so I definitely made some mistakes along the way.  I like to draw with headphones on for two reasons: 1. it helps me concentrate on my work by drowning out the ambient noise, and 2. I don’t like hearing the camera shutter taking a pic every minute!  As a result, I didn’t know that my camera battery died at one point of the filming process.  Additionally, during the last few hours of the drawing there was an additional light on in the room which reflected off the paper and pretty much made the entire canvas bright white and not visible to the camera.  Oh well.  I learned a lot, and the next one will be even better!

On a side note, Felix started following me on Instagram, and I received an awesome note from his wife about the drawing.  Both very cool!

Send me a message and I'll get back to you ASAP!
